In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Instabox and Budbee - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European e-commerce enabler. Always with the customer at heart.

We are fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans to stop anytime soon. As we continue to expand our product offering to new merchants and geographic regions, our logistical network and operations are getting increasingly complex. That is why we are now looking for a Corporate Legal Counsel - Compliance, Digital & Tech to join our growing Legal, Privacy and Compliance department to help us on the journey ahead.

About the role

As Corporate Legal Counsel - Compliance, Digital & Tech at Instabee, you will navigate a dynamic landscape of commercial, legal and compliance challenges, at a group level, across European markets, mainly within the field of technology, logistics, governance, and ethics.

You will play an important role in developing and maturing our compliance function, building robust frameworks, creating and implementing policies, and establishing effective monitoring systems. You will collaborate across functions to navigate the legal landscape, mitigate risks, uphold ethical practices and foster a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.

As we innovate and grow in the digital landscape within the field of logistics, you will navigate complex legal issues related to technology. This includes areas like AI, Tech vendor procurement, cybersecurity, intellectual property, marketing, and consumer law, working closely with our tech and product teams. Your ability to negotiate commercial contracts and manage our IP portfolio will also be essential.

Additionally, you will support our ESG initiatives, ensuring our practices align with sustainability goals and ethical standards.

As a strategic partner to the business, you will encounter diverse and engaging matters, both in terms of complexity and variety. Based on your interests and skills, you will have opportunities to lead your own projects and further personalise your role.

The role is located in Stockholm and you will report to the General Counsel.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with a degree in law from a Nordic university, coupled with at least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably from a larger well-renowned law firm or as an in-house legal counsel in a company. You have worked with commercial law, ideally within an international setting, and have demonstrated experience in compliance matters, technology contracts and intellectual property.

• As a person, you are positive, curious, and highly flexible, and you have excellent analytical skills and strong business judgement. Complex challenges excite you, and you are even more excited about solving them. In our world, everything (almost) is possible, and you share this mindset with us.

• You are structured and able to work efficiently both independently and in teams. You work with high integrity and have the capacity of performing in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment with high-quality commercial and legal expertise.

• You are communicative and have a talent for networking, enabling you to build strong relationships and explain complex legal concepts to diverse audiences. On a softer scale, you are caring and contribute to a friendly atmosphere among your colleagues.

• You possess strong project management skills and the ability to independently lead initiatives from conception to completion.

• Fluency in Swedish and English, written as well as verbal, is mandatory for this role.
