In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox, and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European e-commerce enabler, always with the consumer at heart. We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. About the role

We’re seeking an awesome General Counsel to take the reins of Instabees' Legal, Privacy, and Compliance team! This department isn’t just about legal stuff - it’s a vital business partner, helping drive growth, streamline operations, and build a solid foundation for long-term success. You’ll get to mix smart legal solutions with cutting-edge tech and a forward-thinking approach to keep the business on track aligned with company objectives and strategy.

This role reports directly to the Group CFO and is based out of Stockholm. Instabees legal, privacy, and compliance team currently consists of the General Counsel, and six lawyers. In this role, you also serve as the secretary of the board.

Key responsibilities

• General strategic and legal advice: Providing legal guidance to support key business decisions.
• Commercial contracts: Supporting the business with drafting and negotiating commercial agreements including contract management.
• Corporate governance: Defining company policies and decision-making structures. Ensuring corporate law compliance and corporate governance across the group companies.
• Compliance: Driving and managing the legal compliance agenda including areas such as business ethics, antitrust compliance, and trade compliance.
  Data Protection Laws (e.g. GDPR): Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations.
• Team leadership: Lead and inspire the legal, compliance, and privacy team building a unified team that operates effectively and collaboratively to achieve common goals.

About you

We believe that great people can achieve anything, but we think you’ll nail this role if you:

• Have a Swedish Master’s degree in Law (LL.M)
• Have 8-12 years of legal experience from both a well-reputed top-tier law firm and as an in-house Legal Counsel
• A solid understanding of all things legal - from commercial law, contracts, corporate governance, and M&A to data protection and compliance such as business ethics, competition law, and trade compliance.
• Experience in leading and developing a legal team, with a natural way of influencing and building strong relationships at all levels, including various stakeholders.
• Are fluent in both English and Swedish, because communication is key (and we like to keep things global!)

We seek a team player with strong business acumen and the ability to assess the commercial impact of legal decisions. You are pragmatic, analytical, and structured, with a keen eye for detail while maintaining a strategic mindset. You excel in navigating complexity, balancing strategic goals with operational challenges, and driving process improvements.
