About the role
At Instabee, the Network area is a key part of making our delivery experience faster, smarter, and more reliable. We're now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead two of our teams: Box Experience and Capacity & Conversion. These teams have central missions that contribute to shaping the future of our network. As Engineering Manager for these teams you will have a broad and hands-on leadership role. You’ll be part of a team of Engineering Managers, working closely with Product Managers, engineers, and business stakeholders. Your focus will be on building strong teams, developing people, and helping the teams deliver on ambitious goals. If you enjoy switching between people leadership, product thinking and execution, this role will give you plenty of opportunities to grow and make a real impact.

Some of the things you will do

• Lead two teams, supporting both daily delivery and long-term development
  

• Create a clear and motivating team environment where psychological safety is a priority
  

• Drive the continuous improvement of the teams’ ways of working
  

• Have regular 1:1s, coach individuals, and support personal and professional growth
  

• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to set priorities and align around value
  

• Help break down complex problems into actionable goals and next steps
  

• Contribute to a strong EM leadership culture through shared learning and support
  

• Be part of shaping how we work across the Growth area
  
  

Your future teams

Box Experience. This team works at the intersection of hardware and software. They own the experience of our parcel lockers – making sure the right door opens, the screen responds, and couriers can do their job smoothly.

Capacity & Conversion. This team works with complex optimization problems and algorithms. The work is technical and challenging.

What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading others and is not afraid to get into the messy parts of team development. You don’t need to be an expert in everything your teams do, but you should care deeply about helping them succeed. We think you’ll enjoy this role if you have:

• Previous experience leading engineering teams
  

• Confidence to handle difficult conversations and guide teams through change
  

• A coaching mindset and a passion for building strong team dynamics
  

• The ability to prioritize, communicate clearly and make good decisions
  

• The ability to switch between being a leader and a boss, and the judgement to choose between them
  

• Strong English communication skills (Swedish is a plus)
