Operations Business Manager
About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on, analytically strong, and high-energy Operations Business Manager, or Central Operations Manager as we call it, to lead our Norwegian Central Operations team – the hub connecting first, middle, and last-mile logistics for both our Box and Home services.
You’ll play a key role in one of Instabee’s largest and fastest-growing markets, ensuring our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and at scale. With strong growth foundations already in place, this is the time to push the pace – driving continuous improvements, strengthening structure, and building an operation that can scale with increasing complexity.
This role is ideal for someone early-to-mid in their career, with strong analytical horsepower and clear drive. You combine sharp thinking with execution power – and you’re motivated by impact, pace, and responsibility.
Some of the things you will do
Lead, coach, and develop a Central Operations team of six
Take full ownership of team results, including cost, quality, and delivery performance
Identify, prioritise, and drive improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency and scalability
Analyse performance data and translate insights into concrete operational actions
Ensure risk management processes and operational routines are in place and followed
Align strategies and daily operations with Instabee’s long-term goals and targets
Collaborate closely with Operations, Tech, and Commercial teams to secure seamless performance
Ensure recruitment, onboarding, and capability development so the team has the right resources to succeed
Your future team
You’ll join a dedicated and ambitious Central Operations team based in Oslo. Together, the team ensures that every parcel is handled with precision, care, and speed.
The atmosphere is fast-paced and performance-oriented, yet supportive. We value ownership, initiative, and collaboration — and we celebrate progress and results together.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings both analytical sharpness and drive.
4–6 years of experience from operations, logistics, consulting, strategy, business development, or other analytically demanding roles
Strong academic background
Proven ability to analyse complex problems and turn them into structured, actionable improvements
Strong business understanding and comfort working in KPI- and performance-driven environments
Experience from fast-paced environments such as scale-ups, start-ups, consulting, or other high-performance settings
Clear track record of progression and increasing responsibility
Leadership experience is a plus — but not a requirement. We value leadership potential, drive, and maturity just as highly.
Fluent in English. Norwegian is beneficial but not required.
More about you
You are analytically strong and structured, but also energetic and action-oriented. You don’t get stuck in analysis — you move from insight to execution.
You likely:
Have worked in a demanding environment with high expectations and pace
Thrive when given ownership and clear targets
Combine solid social skills with a straightforward, pragmatic communication style
Are comfortable challenging the status quo and raising the bar
Have ambition, energy, and a desire to grow fast
You might come from management consulting, operational excellence, a high-growth scale-up, or a logistics/transport environment — but above all, you bring sharp thinking and strong drive.
What you’ll get
We can promise you that you will be challenged, develop your skills and have the opportunity to work with truly amazing and competent colleagues. Of course, we have
all the necessary and standard benefits in place, but in addition to this, we can also
offer:
🌇 Modern and newly renovated office located in Oslo
💻 Modern Tech Stack: Work with cutting-edge technology every day
🍻 Social agenda including afterworks, sports & other fun activities
💰 Good pension scheme and premium health insurance
🥗 Catered delicious food in the office 5 days per week
Diversity and inclusion are very important to us and we are committed to creating an
inclusive work environment. We want to be a workplace where everyone’s perspectives
and opinions are valued, and we are dedicated to creating opportunities for all
employees to thrive and reach their full potential.
