People Partner (Sweden Ops)
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive People Partner to support and elevate our Swedish operations and our highly valued blue-collar workforce. This is a key role where you’ll work closely with operational leaders to shape a high-performing, safe, and engaging workplace.
As a strategic partner, you’ll translate our global People & Culture agenda into impactful local initiatives, ensuring we continue to attract, develop, and retain skilled talent. You’ll thrive in an operational environment, balancing hands-on People support with long-term workforce planning, leadership development, and change management.
Some of the things you will do
Partner with the business: Work closely with Swedish operations leaders, understanding their day-to-day realities and supporting them with practical People solutions.
Employee engagement: Build a strong, inclusive workplace where both blue- and white-collar teams feel engaged, respected, and able to perform at their best.
Internal communication: Keep leaders and teams informed and aligned on priorities, key deadlines, and ongoing initiatives.
People operations: Ensure People policies and processes are applied consistently and effectively, and that key P&C targets are met.
Employee relations: Handle complex employee relations cases in a fair, pragmatic, and legally compliant way, in close cooperation with operations and unions.
Core People processes: Run annual People cycles such as compensation reviews, performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning.
Recruitment & onboarding: Work with Talent Acquisition to hire and onboard operational and blue-collar roles effectively, with a focus on quality and retention.
Learning & development: Identify training needs across the Swedish organisation and help put relevant, practical development initiatives in place.
Compliance: Make sure People policies and practices comply with Swedish labour law and collective agreements, while working for the operational context.
Workforce planning: Support leaders in planning staffing needs, identifying skill gaps, and preparing for future demands.
Health & safety: Partner with Health & Safety to support a strong safety culture across the organisation.
Change & transformation: Support leaders and teams through organisational changes, helping them adapt and stay focused.
Union relations: Build and maintain constructive relationships with union representatives and take part in negotiations when needed.
Your future team
In this role, you will work closely with the Swedish Operations leadership team and report to the future Head of People for Sweden and collaborate closely with our Global People Partner Team , ensuring strong alignment with our global People & Culture strategy, ways of working, and best practices.
Location📍
This role can be based in Växjö, Gothenburg, or Jönköping, with the ability to travel due to supporting multi-terminal locations across Sweden.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience in a similar senior People Partner / HRBP role in a larger organisation, or as HR Manager/Head of HR in a smaller operational business
Background in logistics, transport, manufacturing, or similar operational environments.
Solid experience supporting operations and blue-collar workforces from a logistics, transport, manufacturing, or similar operational environments
Proven ability to manage complex employee relations in an operational setting
Strong business acumen and data-driven mindset
Deep knowledge of Swedish labour law and collective bargaining agreements, particularly Transport CBA
Experience developing People strategies for skilled trades and operational roles
Demonstrated success implementing lean or efficiency-driven HR practices
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
Highly organised, analytical, and solution-oriented
Experience working in a unionised and matrix organisation
Fluency in Swedish and English
Nice to have (the cherry on top 🍒)
Experience supporting large-scale change or transformation initiatives
Prior experience working with or in an environment successfully applying Lean/Six Sigma
Passion for leadership development and continuous improvement
